A home energy rating score (HERS) evaluates the energy efficiency of a home through design plan analysis and post construction assessments. Computer analyses of construction plans assign a HERS  Index score to a home’s design and following construction, onsite inspections are conducted that typically include a blower door test (to test the leakiness of the house) and a duct test (to test the leakiness of the ducts). Results from these appraisals are used to generate a HERS Index score for the home.

The HERS rating for 2924 W. Wilson was conducted by eZing, Inc. and resulted in a HERS Index of 50 which means the house performs twice as efficiently as a typical new home. The letter from eZing follows and the full report is available upon request.
